This is why, my awareness through movement class to calm down your nervous system will involve movement of the eyes.
Yep…calming your nervous system is not just about breathing, rocking, tapping, although if course these can help and often do.
But I love how, for me, the movement of the eyes seem to go through a calming that seem to be more through the subconscious. It goes way beyond saying “relax” when you’re stressed out.
My students of all ages and backgrounds often express after these classes how they’re surprised on how calmer they feel afterwards.

The Pelvic Floor Class Series (6 Pre-Recorded Lessons + Bonus Breathing Class)
These classes give you space to reconnect with a part of yourself that is often overlooked unless something goes wrong — a part of you that plays a central role not only in support, but in breathing, balance, posture, and effortless movement.
This series brings together six carefully designed lessons that have personally helped me address pelvic pain and dysfunction. Many of my students have also reported improvements in back comfort and overall ease of movement after practicing these lessons.
I do not claim to be a physical therapist or a physician. I share this work because the Feldenkrais® Method has supported my own recovery from chronic pelvic pain more profoundly than any other approach I’ve tried — and I chose this profession to share those benefits with others.
This series invites you to regain a sense of power and autonomy by learning to integrate more of yourself — gently, harmoniously, and without strain — into your everyday movements.
The lessons are meant for you to listen to without having to look at the screen. The emphasis is on the audio.
